I have not posted lately, but the reason is not that I didn’t have anything to say! I have been so busy welcoming my baby grandaughter to this world. She is such a blessing for all of us!

When life throws the inevitable lemons in our path, it is so easy to get caught up in a negative spiral of thoughts. However, this habit causes the worst to happen. Proverbs 23:7 says, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Our thoughts are powerful forces which create and shape our own destinies. Concentrate on positive affirmations regardless of your circumstances. Paul says in Philipians 4:7, “I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content”. It is important to realize that he wrote this while in prison.

I just had a wonderful long weekend with my family at the lake! There is nothing so rewarding as the bonds you can establish while enjoying each others’ company! I am refreshed, relaxed, and ready to dive back into the business that I so enjoy!

Don’t forget to take time out to enjoy your family and friends and to let them know how important they are to you!

My mind keeps drifting back to the topic of the importance of forgiving others when they have hurt us with their inconsiderate behavior. We need to forgive them not just for their sake, but mostly for our own. We cause great harm to ourselves when we carry a grudge. We cannot grow past our pain until we let it go. We need to realize that we grow through all unpleasant experiences if we learn to let go of the anger.
